There is a war happening over the future of the internet and the human species.
If talent is an amplifier of its owner's intent, the same way an LLM is, then the person with the biggest amplifier wins. In the limit, the game may narrow to who can best recruit talent and agentic systems to enact their will. Or assume markets work: whoever can move the most money from A to B at the press of a button wins influence, measured as raw purchasing power.
On one side of my screen I see crypto culture, Rxmeen, and Sol Hando. On another I see Elon Musk, the All-In podcast, Dario Amodei, and Sam Altman, the people who look from here like the incumbents. I experience them as rival cultures organizing themselves around who gets to build the future.
From where I stand as Hari, nobody wins such wars.
All humans can only do their best. There is no mastermind. There is no victor, and there is no loser, except those who do not get to participate in the ongoing games in the first place.
This is fascinating and fun to witness.
My job is to keep my hand on the knob of attention: where I am looking, what I am spending my time on, and how much I am writing like Ted Chiang versus building a rocket to Mars like Elon.
I think it will be easy.
If Andy Trattner can do it, Hari can too, regardless of whether we draft on Claude or Grok or Codex, or just by hand.
